Locating at ground floor of Huizhong Building of City Hall, Taichung Hub began operation this March. The city’s history and future are contained and displayed over AR (augmented reality), massive hand painting wall, interactive light engraving, and 360 panorama installation. As a preview of the upcoming Taichung Flora Expo, at the exit of Taichung Hub a 3D installation of local flower visual effect presents Dancing-lady Orchid, Gladioli, lily and Painter's-palette for visitors to virtually “stand” on the leaves when viewing at a special angle. As per Information Bureau, the four themes of Taichung Hub: vision, history, city, and life, introduce the beauty of the city in a smart narration method, standing out from traditional video content. Moreover, the exhibition space transcends the limitation and consolidates different knowledge from design, to technological art and local specialty tourism. With multimedia interactive experiences, visitors following the steps of immersive display may engage with the past and future of Taichung in a more profound way.
