2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition will take place on November 3, 2018. Taichung City Government particularly establishes mounted police team and volunteer biker team to patrol the Exposition on Saturdays and Sundays. Mayor Chia-Lung Lin today (13th) attended the establishment ceremony and said that the mounted police team and volunteer biker team can not only help maintain good order during Exposition but also let people know the other side of the police and promote the spirit and love of horsemanship. It is expected that people who attend the Flora Exposition can realize that “Beautiful things are happening because of Flora Exposition!”

The Police Department today hosted the establishment ceremony of the mounted police team and volunteer biker team. Mayor Lin, accompanied by Commissioner, Yuan-Ming Yang, attended the ceremony in which the mounted police team and volunteer bike team presented the drills that were reviewed by Mayor. The teams were thus officially recognized, and the ceremony was quite lively. Many important guests, including Board Director of Taichung Friends of the Police Association, Wen-Yu Lai, Chief Board Director of Taichung Friends of the Police Association, Wen-Wan Tang, Commander of Volunteer Team, Zhao-Ri Chen, Commander of Traffic Control Volunteer Team, Mao-Kun Lin, and Commander of Civil Defense Team, Qing-Fang Lin, attended the ceremony too.

Mayor Lin said that beautiful horses and bikes bring more highlights to 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition. It is expected that through the establishment ceremony, residents and tourists will know more about Taichung’s police and the related assistant teams. Taichung City is recognized as a livable city, and public security is one of the critical points for a livable city. With the force of city police officers and volunteers, the safety of residents and important events is secured, which is a good marketing for the Flora Exposition and Taichung City.

Mayor Lin also pointed out that everyone is looking forward to 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition. Taichung City Government will make all efforts to market the Exposition. Today, the establishment ceremony of the mounted police team and volunteer bike team is an excellent marketing opportunity to promote the event. So far, no matter whether it is the original song, “Please Listen!” originally created by Tsing-Fong Wu’s or a unique clip created by an internet celebrity, Tina, Taichung City Government is more than happy to cooperate them and use every means it can to promote the Exposition. The Police Department stated that the mounted police uses limited manpower and budget and is established through the cooperation with private horsemanship companies. The volunteer bike team is established by members of Friends of the Police Association’s Biker Club. Through thoroughly using private resources to strategically market the event, 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition will include highlights for visitors.
