Located at Aofong Hill Park, Qingshui District, the 80,578 sqm base is the sole int’l standard velodrome in Taiwan. Built in 1999, the training space has cultivated numerous Asian Games winning athletes in Busan 2002 and Guangzhou 2010.

After intense usage for almost twenty years, the exposed wooden runway and truss have been worn out under daily weather. Furthermore, to meet the requirement of 2019 East Asian Youth Games in Taichung, the renovation project shall provide sound and secure competing environment for the Games and better training facilities for cyclists.
