McDonald’s Taiwan is echoing to the upcoming 2018 Taichung World Flora Expo starting from 3rd November. Today(27th), they announced the special programs under the collaborations with Taichung City Government, including「Selected coffee latte, buy one and get one free」,「Flora Expo shared box」and free offering of「Leopard cat family coloring pictures」 etc., also, they’ve built the「Children’s joy story house」to tell the stories of the Flora Expo mascots, 「Leopard cat family」 to the children and promote the spirit of Flora Expo to live with the nature in harmony. Mayor Chia-lung Lin said, thanks to McDonald’s for supporting the idea of Flora Expo; so far, there are more than 2,800 Flora Expo appointed and contracted stores collaborating with the City Government to provide all kinds of special offerings to the people. McDonald’s Taiwan has conducted the 「McDonald’s xTaichung Flora Expo joint press conference」today at Xitun District, Taichung. The special exclusive programs of Flora Expo were announced. The Leopard cat family were invited to perform the opening show of Flora Expo dance with Mayor Lin and Ronald McDonald to tell the story of Leopard cat family to the children on site. Director of Economic Development Bureau, the City Government, Yao-ji Lu, Director of Transportation Bureau, Yi-chuan Wang, Deputy Director of Information Bureau, Mei-li Lu and Associate Manager of central operational department, McDonald’s Taiwan, Pei-ling Chu were all there to participate in the event.

Mayor Lin mentioned, Taichung Flora Expo will be launched during 3rd November to 24th April in next year. In the period of preparations, the City Government has changed the venue of Flora Expo to secure the habitats of the extinguishing leopard cats and the cultural property, Houli Horse Ranch, to those three exhibition area at Houli, Waipu and Fengyuan. Meanwhile, the images of leopard cats are applied as the Taichung Flora Expo mascots to promote the concept of ecological and environmental protections.

Mayor Lin said, big thanks to McDonald’s for supporting the meaning of sustainability delivered behind Flora Expo and echoing to the Flora Expo to introduce the special offerings like「Selected coffee latte, buy one and get one free」,「Flora Expo shared box」and free offering of「Leopard cat family coloring pictures」etc.; in addition to McDonald’s, the City Government has collaborated with the other more than 2,800 Flora Expo appointed stores to provide more diverse and special programs to allow the people to enjoy more good things in Taichung while visiting the Flora Expo.

Associate Manager of central operational department, McDonald’s Taiwan, Pei-ling Chu said, McDonald’s Taiwan has proposed many special programs to support Taichung Flora Expo, firstly, people can enjoy「Selected coffee latte, buy one and get one free」, excluding the McDonald delivery, at 56 McDonald’s restaurants in the great Taichung area with their Flora Expo tickets from September 1st to January 1st of next year. Also, in the indicated 56 restaurants, people will be served the meals with the complimentary「Flora Expo designed paper placemat」during the period from 3rd November to 30th November.

Associate Manager Chu mentioned, all McDonald’s restaurants in Taiwan will introduce「Flora Expo shared box」with a special price of NT$420（original price: NT$517）from 24th October to 22nd January of next year, except McDonald delivery. During the period from 3rd November to 30th November, the limited edition of「Leopard cat family coloring picture」will be requested for free until finished at all McDonald’s restaurants in Taiwan.

Associate Manager Chu also said, 310「Children’s joy story house」islandwide will have Brother and Sister McDonald to tell the stories of「Leopard cat family」based on the spirit of Flora Expo about how to live with the nature in harmony to the children for free from 3rd November to 30th November.
