Situated in the northeastern corner of Greater Taichung City, Lishan offers stunning mountain scenery, high-quality agricultural products and cultural diversity. However, due to its hard-to-reach, remote location, Lishan residents find it difficult to attend arts and cultural events. Thus, the Taichung City Cultural Affairs Bureau is holding a Lishan Art Festival from November 11 to 20 in this area. Events will include a National Palace Museum Replicas Exhibition, Creative Lishan Story Cards, a "Little Archeologist" event by National Museum of Natural Science, a handicrafts fair, performances by outstanding Taichung groups, book clubs, film classes, an exhibition of Lishan artworks by the Lishan Farmers Painting Association, and a mobile library for senor citizens. The opening ceremony will take place on November 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lishan Elementary School. For more information, visit http://www.culture.taichung.gov.tw/.
