As November 24th is the voting day of local elections, the operational headquarter of Taichung Flora Expo has decided to close the Houli, Fengyuan and Waipu Expo Sites of Taichung Flora Expo for one day on the voting date to secure the voting right of the volunteers, operating and managing staffs, government officials and encourage everyone to vote. Thank you very much for your kind understanding. All the operations will be back to normal on November 25th. Due to the eve of the Chinese New Year on February 4th of next year, the Flora Expo Expo Sites will close for one day again but will open right after that on February 5th.

The staff of Taichung election committee said, the vote of the elections for the third term of Taichung Mayor, Councilors, Borough Chief and 2nd Director of Heping District, District Representatives and referendum will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on November 24th. The citizens aged 18 years old and above are eligible to vote for the referendum and aged 20 years old and above are eligible to vote for the elections. Please be reminded to vote on that day.

The Executive Officer, the operational headquarter of Flora Expo, Kun-ming Kuo said, the exhibition period of Taichung Flora Expo will last until April 24th. As per not all the staffs living in the neighborhood of the Expo Sites of Taichung Flora Expo, all the Expo Sites will be closed for one day on November 24th to secure the voting right of the related staffs. All the operations of Flora Expo will be back to normal and opened on November 25th.

The normal opening hours of each Expo Site: Houli horse ranch forest Expo Site expo site—09:00 to 19:00 for Sunday to Thursday (the last entrance to the Expo Site—18:00, the last entrance to the Pavilion—18:30); 9:00 to 21:00 for Friday to Saturday (the last entrance to the Expo Site—20:00, the last entrance to the Pavilion—20:30); Waipu Expo Site—9:00 to 19:00 for everyone (the last entrance to the Expo Site—18:00, the last entrance to the Pavilion—18:30); Fengyuan Huludun Park Expo Site——09:00 to 19:00 for Sunday to Thursday (the last entrance to the Expo Site—18:00, the last entrance to the Pavilion—18:30); 9:00 to 21:00 for Friday to Saturday (the last entrance to the Expo Site—20:00, the last entrance to the Pavilion—20:30).

On the voting date, all the household registration offices will stop the household registration related services. If you need to apply for the national ID card application, registration change and so on, please take the required actions earlier. If you lost your national ID card, please bring your household certificate or any personal original document with photo on and one copy of your photo with facing the camera in the photo for the whole face to be seen in picture (or electronic format) and taken during the last 2 years. The processing fee is NT$200. With all these required documents, you may go to any household registration office for ID card application in person as early as possible to security you’re voting right.
