Subsidies for the prenatal examination of the new immigrant pregnant women who are not covered in the national health insurance

I.Eligible target and subsidized items

Medical cost of prenatal examination of the new immigrant pregnant women before household registration completed.

II.Subsidized amount

1.The prenatal examination of the new immigrant pregnant women who have not completed the household registration and not covered in the national health insurance: 10 examinations for each parity but will be covered by the national health insurance after the registration completed.

2.Pregnant women Group B Streptococcus screening test: each for 35th and 37th week of pregnancy, respectively; NT$500 per test.

3.Prenatal health care educational advice services for twice (the 1st service / before 17th week of pregnancy and the 2nd service/ between 29th week and 40th week of pregnancy) NT$100 per service.

III.Required documents

The required documents should include the following two types:

(I)Household register original copy.

(II)New immigrant resident permit or traveling permit etc. certificates of original copies.

District polyclinics (to get the subsidy form first and leave for the hospitals to have the prenatal examination).
