Taichung City Mayor Jason Hu and his wife Shao Xiao-Ling were both present at the 228 Peace Memorial Concert on February 28. They presented flowers and also led the public in a minute's silence. This year’s 228 Peace Memorial Concert's theme was "Love, Chiming the Peace Bell", a continuation of last year's theme of "Love is an Undying Spirit".
