1.Legal basis
According to the "Guidelines for Busking Activities in Taichung City” (as per Letter No. 1020006469 issued by Taichung City Government on April 15, 2013), a busking license is valid for two years. A busker shall renew his/her busking license before its expiration date in accordance with the schedule set up by the Cultural Affairs Bureau. Otherwise, the busking license shall become invalid automatically. A busker whose license is lost or damaged during its validity period shall apply for a replacement to the Cultural Affairs Bureau.

3.Period for license renewal and replacement:
From April 22, 2013 (Mon) to October 31, 2013 (postmarked)

4.Who shall apply:
(1)Renewal: A busker in Taichung City whose license expires on or before December 31, 2013
(2)Replacement: A busker in Taichung City whose license is lost or damaged to an unrecognizable level

5.How to renew or replace a license:
Before October 31, 2013 (postmarked), please fill out and submit the renewal application form together with the required documents by registered mail to Chienjia International, Inc. (建嘉國際股份有限公司), whose address is Floor 9, No. 155-1, Section 3, Wenxin Road, Xitun District, Taichung City. Please mark on the envelope "Renewal of busking license"

6.Required documents for renewal of a busking license:
(1)Individual: One application form, two 2-inch photos shot within six months (attached to the application form), a photo of performance (attached to the application form), and the old license (Not required for replacement).
(2)Group performers: One application form, two 2-inch photos of each member shot within six months (attached to the application form), a photo of group performance (attached to the application form), and the old license (Not required for replacement).
(3)Foreign nationals must submit a photocopy of passport and visa.

7.Fees:
(1)Renewal: free of charge
(2)Replacement: Attach a return postage envelope in the application file

8.Picking up the license:
Once approved, the license shall be issued by mail. Please make sure to give correct contact address. Otherwise, you should bear the replacement costs due to an incorrect address.

9.Notes:
(1)Please read the "Guidelines for Busking Activities in Taichung City” carefully before application.
(2)If you do not complete the license renewal application within the validity period, the license will automatically become invalid on the expiration date. To protect your own legitimate interests, do apply for renewal in accordance with the related regulations.
(3)If you perform using an invalid busking license, the license will be confiscated on the spot.
The renewal application form (see the attachments) will be sent to each busker who needs to renew his/her license. You can also download the application form from the website of Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government (www.culture.taichung.gov.tw) or the Buskers site (www.buskers-taichung.com.tw). After you complete filling out the application form. Please send it by registered mail to Chienjia International, Inc. (建嘉國際股份有限公司), whose address is Floor 9, No. 155-1, Section 3, Wenxin Road, Xitun District, Taichung City. Please mark on the upper-right corner of the envelope "2013 renewal of busking license".
