Last year, Taichung City successfully promoted the “home of honey peaches is Lishan” brand image. This year’s harvest of honey peaches has already reached the market, and the Taichung City government has directed the Heping District community center in holding a promotional event for honey peaches and Lishan tea. The diversified event will take place on the weekends of August 12 and 19 at the plaza in front of the Lishan Visitor’s Center and Fushou Mountain Farm. Mayor Lin Jialong stated that the climate of Lishan produces quality peaches befitting the title of “King of Fruits.” The peaches are plump, sweet, juicy, fragrant, and melt in your mouth. Taichung produces over 60% of Taiwan’s peaches. We welcome everyone’s support and purchases, as well as coming out to have tea and enjoy the weekend.

The “2017 Lishan Peach and Tea Ceremony press conference was held on August 8 in the Sichuan Hall of the City Government Building on Taiwan Boulevard. All are invited.

Vice chair Luo of the Heping District Representative Committee approves of the city government’s promotion of quality produce, and states that he grew up on Lishan himself, and was very happy to witness the creation of a channel for honey peaches, and the promotion of the “home of honey peaches is Lishan” brand image.

The Heping District Community Center stated that honey peaches have been harvested, starting in June, from Lishan, Zhiliang, Jiayang, and Huanshan. In order to support fruit producers and promote quality produce, the community center is holding a honey peach and Lishan tea promotional event under the direction of the city government. The community center worked in tandem with Wuling Farms on May 13 to hold a specialty produce exposition at the farm guest service center plaza. The event combined lodging and tea leaves discounts. The Lishan Visitor’s Center also introduced a 12% discount on tea leaf purchases before the end of August.

Additionally, this year’s events also incorporated elements of public service. Working with the Water Resources Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the events also promote the importance of cherishing water resources. Visitors need only bring 5 receipts from the July, August period to the plaza in front of the Lishan Visitor’s Center on August 12, or the Fushou Mountain Farm on August 19, and they may receive a honey peach gift at the service counter, while supplies last. All receipts will be given to charity. For more information, please visit the official event page at (https://www.facebook.com/lisanpeach/), or call us at 04-23728865.
