A new daycare center is opened. Since the launching of “one-step daycare” service in July 2015, it had won high acclaims from various sectors. It made the record of the highest coverage rate in Taiwan. The 4th government-owned and private-run Qingshui Daycare Center was opened this (12) morning. The element of the ocean is used as the motif of design, creating an adventurous world under the sea for babies and small children. Deputy Mayor Lin Yi-ying expressed that Qingshui Daycare Center can take 28 babies and small children. With a smart game zone, baby’s swimming pool, and other innovative facilities, it creates a new exemplar of daycare center.

With the performance of children’s play by the “Small Dolphin Baby Theatre Troupe” the opening ceremony of Qingshui Daycare Center commenced grandly. Accompanied by Lue Jen-der, Deputy Mayor Lin attended the opening ceremony and interacted with the toddlers. She also inspected the innovative spatial design and facilities in the center, including the interactive robot, smart game zone, baby’s sleeping zone, baby’s swimming pool and more. City Councilor Yang Dian-zhong and Yan Li-min, and the local village chiefs attended the ceremony, and were impressed by the innovative services of this daycare center. It helps people to give birth to new babies without any worry.

Deputy Mayor Lin pointed out that at present there are three government-owned and private-run daycare centers. They are located at Shalu, Fengyuan, and Taiping. Today, a new daycare center in Qingshui is added to provide daycare service to people in the Mountain-Sea-Tun district. It also provides an innovative designed space for baby and small children’s education and daily life. With its opening, it has created a new model for daycare centers in Taichung City.

Councilor Yang was impressed by the city government’s respond to people’s voices by establishing daycare center in different places. Especially the double-income families of young people, they are busy at work, and have to take their babies to daycare center when they are aged zero. They definitely need the help of the government resources. In the future, it is hoped that the daycare service can be expanded to every school so that every child can grow up happily.

Councilor Yan also thanked the city government for their consideration. She hopes the capacity of each daycare center to expand in the future. And it is possible to establish a new daycare center in Wuqi quickly to allow people share the resources of one-step daycare.

The Social Affairs Bureau pointed out that Qingshui Daycare Center is designed with the elements of the ocean to create an adventurous world under the sea for babies and children. It is estimated that it can take 28 babies and children. The service hours will be 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. The charge will be NT$ 7,000 per month. It will also help parents to apply for daycare allowance.

Moreover, there will be a new daycare center at the 2nd floor of Pinglin Library in Taiping. It is under construction at the moment, and is planned to be opened by the end of this year. It can take 30 babies and children. And the Dali Daycare Center is in the process of spatial accommodation. Daya Daycare Center has it process changed according to the urban development plant. Both day care centers are scheduled to undergo the building and decorating processes. They will be launched in a safe, comfortable, and new atmosphere to the public, providing quality daycare services to babies and small children.
