Christmas is coming. Taichung City Government shows its creativity by building the first Christmas tree on water in Taiwan. This Christmas tree is at Liuchuan River, a very popular attraction. Beautiful light displays are held at the improved reach. About 200,000 visitors have come to the exhibition since the grand opening. The Christmas tree on water will end at Dec. 26th since Christmas is over. However, the huge gift box, romantic tulips, rose fields, light hallway under the bridge and rainbow color heart trees nearby will be displayed until Mar. 4th, 2018. Everyone is welcome to watch the light display.

The Information Bureau of Taichung City Government stated that the first Christmas tree on water in Taiwan is built at Liuchuan River this year. This 9-meter Christmas tree has become a national spotlight in Taiwan since it is lit on Dec. 9th. Various social media recommend Liuchuan River as check-in spot that people should go on Christmas. The improved reach of Liuchuan River becomes spectacular because of the Christmas tree and light displays. It looks extremely romantic at night. About 200,000 visitors have come to this exhibition in 17 days.

For the Christmas event this year, the “Christmas market” held by the Information Bureau ends at night on Dec. 25th and the Christmas tree on water is displayed until Dec. 26th. ”Creative Art Light Display” held by the Water Resources Bureau of Taichung City Government lasts till Mar. 4th, 2018. Everyone is welcome to watch the display.

“Creative Art Light Display” is lit from 17:30 to 22:00 every day. The light turns off at 23:00 during holidays, including Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year, from Chinese New Year’s Eve to the Fourth Day of Chinese New Year (Feb. 15th to 20th), and Lantern Festival (Mar. 2nd). The meshwork lamp is weak. To protect the light display and ensure human safety, visitors can only stand on the sidewalk and must not step on the grass when taking pictures; otherwise the electric shock might occur.
