（Taichung News）The officer of Local Tax Bureau, Taichung City Government, said, now is the e-era, you don’t have to be tired of running out of your house to the tax office for filing your tax return. From now on, you can use your citizen digital certificate or health insurance card to log in the e-system for local tax filing. No matter where you are, you can just simply log into the system and complete your filing for land value increment tax.
The officer explained, in order to provide more convenient and comprehensive ways of tax filing for the people, the health insurance card can be used to complete the local tax filing from 1st February, 2017. If you are starting your first time to use the health insurance card to file the tax return, please log in the official website of National Health Insurance Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare to complete the account registration with user ID and password setting for「Registration of health insurance card web service」 first. Then you can start to use your health insurance card for tax filing.
Furthermore, the officer mentioned, people needed to go to the assigned local government tax office of the land location to file the land value increment tax in the past. And now people can complete the tax filing anytime at 24 hours of the day as there is no office hours limitation or transportation requirement of traffics with time and money consuming in the cyber world. The officials of the Bureau will review and confirm the case filed when people complete their tax filing submissions. Later on, the land value increment tax will be combined with the payment forms for the overdue land tax and transferred to a file for the taxpayers to download by themselves. And the taxpayers can pay for the tax bills either in the banks with tax services or convenient stores to send the certificates of payment to the government tax offices and complete the tax payment process. Then the land can be transferred to be owned by the payers and the registration of transfer can be completed in the land office.
