Located at level 5 to 7 of Taichung Jingwu Library, Taichung Social Innovation Unit (TCCSIU) is devoted in Gung ho, innovation sharing pattern through interaction and communication in common working spaces. Joined by ASSET (Association of Sustainable Social Enterprise of Taiwan) recently, the Unit held a discussion session yesterday (10) with Executive Yuan Political Commissar Tang Feng sharing her experiences on social innovation and social enterprise implementation, encouraging the stationed teams’ creativity on social innovation with more novel ideas.

The discussion put subjects on Social Innovation, International Links, Public Issues, Youth Entrepreneurship, Employment of Middle-aged Women, and had Executive Yuan Political Commissar Tang Feng, the longtime promoter of social innovation and social enterprise, sharing her experiences.

Economy Development Bureau Director Lu Yao-zhi, Social Affairs Bureau Senior Executive Officer Lai Yuan-ru, stationed groups or individuals including ASSET, 1095 Studio, Taichung Agro-Group, iFly, Yuxin Development Construction, Women Enterpreneurs Association of Taiwan, Tianye Education, Fang Cheng, Lu Guan-wei, Dai Jia-ming and Wu Zheng-feng, have all joined the event.

Social Affairs Bureau mentioned that the Unit encourages social empowerment and the cooperation between cross-territory platform and the teams through experiments and incubation mode. The discussion this time serves as a beginning of promoting central and private organizations’ cooperation. In the future more conversation and citizen participation shall create a civil power and close interactive network with the government, and a positive social innovation cycle.
