1. The “reminder message service for pending traffic violation tickets” is now available. For vehicles registered under a natural person in Taichung City, the system will send a "reminder" text message to the owner if he/she still has not paid for the ticket as long as the vehicle registered under the owner is reported for a violation and the due date has not yet expired, i.e., expiring in 7 days. This is to prompt vehicle owners to pay as soon as possible and avoid the additional overdue penalty.
2. Citizens may request such a service as follows:
(1) Online application: file your application online at Taichung City Traffic Adjudication Office website – Online Applications – “Traffic Ticket Reminder Message Service.”
(2) Written application: the application form is available at the Traffic Adjudication Office, and local offices at Dadu, Beitun and Fengyuan. You may fill out the form and give it to our service representative or mail it to the Traffic Adjudication Office or fax it at 04-25155557.
It has been heard that people did not receive traffic violation tickets (the “red” tickets) or forgot to pay the fine because they were busy in their works. Does the Traffic Adjudication Office provide any service to make it more convenience of citizens?
