To give back to the community, Guoqian Fude Temple in Taichung City donated one Ford high-roof ambulance and a batch of medical equipment to Taichung’s Fire Bureau. The donation ceremony, held on March 31 at the temple, saw Chairman Kuo Chin-hsing giving the donation on behalf, while the Fire Bureau's senior technical specialist Yang Chun-kai accepted the donation and extended gratitude on behalf. The Bureau appreciated the temple's contribution of quality medical resources, which will enhance Taichung’s emergency response capabilities and elevate medical service standards for Taichung residents.
The Fire Bureau noted that Guoqian Fude Temple holds significant importance as a spiritual center for the residents of Huizhong, Guoqian, and Daye villages. With a bustling daily presence of worshippers, the temple actively contributes to public welfare and strongly supports firefighting initiatives. The donated ambulance's distinctive paintwork enhances its visibility and ensures the safety of both firefighters and patients inside. The donated medical equipment includes modern rescue gear such as tactical tourniquets and intensive care first aid kits.
The Fire Department also noted that the donated ambulance will be stationed at the Liming Branch of the Sixth Corps, located in the Xitun area. The branch’s jurisdiction encompasses the city government, city council, and the 7th Redevelopment Zone, with numerous high-rise commercial buildings and densely populated residential areas, compounded by heavy traffic flow and frequent traffic accidents due to its location as a major transportation hub, coupled with bustling shopping districts and a dense population, resulting in the significantly high demand for emergency medical services, averaging nearly 7,000 cases annually. It is hoped that the donated ambulance and medical equipment will be effectively utilized to safeguard the lives of citizens.

They expressed deep gratitude to Guoqian Fude Temple for generously donating an ambulance to aid in firefighting and rescue efforts. It is hoped that more people will be inspired to do the same and allocate additional social resources to firefighting and disaster relief initiatives. Moving forward, the donated ambulance will be effectively utilized for emergency medical services to improve the efficiency of emergency medical services and provide citizens with a safer and better living environment.
