Police Department of Taichung City Government-News-With the Designated LINE Account for "Stolen Vehicle Detection," "Fraud Prevention" and "Request for Police Assistance"

Recently, only two official accounts out of the top 20 LINE Accounts belong to those of governmental agencies and they respectively belong to the "Ministry of Health and Welfare" and the "Taichung City Police Bureau." The official LINE account of the "Ministry of Health and Welfare" provides information related to the pandemic control and prevention and what made the one of the Taichung City Police Bureau so popular that it jumped to the top 2, leading other governmental agencies since its launch this April? The Bureau especially recommended three functions for its users. Transportation means are tools for the public to make a living and to travel around. But due to the negligent acts, a thief can steal them easily. The Bureau, thus, launched "@TCPB" account to invite the public to detect "stolen vehicles." By adding the official account of the Bureau, "@TCPB" and select "Thief Catcher," you can then choose to "enter a license plate number" or "upload a photo of a license plate," and the AI system will automatically identify license plate number in the photo and show you the contrast result. You will immediately detect whether or not the vehicle is a stolen one. Various LINE IDs, with pros and cons that are difficult to be recognized, were introduced to you and now, in addition to searches conducted on the 165 website, this designated LINE official account of the Bureau provides you a simple and convenient way to detect possible "frauds." The public now is better protected. Most people said, "they need the police assistance but they do not know how to get it" or were doubtful of "the distance between the public and police." Now this account offers users a better option. By adding this account, users can select "search for nearby police station" and information about the nearest one will be shown. Users can also receive navigation information to the selected police station for timely assistance. In consideration of the popularity of LINE, the Bureau actively utilizes useful applications for the public and the police. Especially, since outbreak of the pandemic, the Bureau first led its peer agencies and launched the "LINEBOT Time Card System" for additional card punching practice to avoid cross infections and maintain social distancing. By incorporating with Bluetooth transmission technology, this function allows staff to punch in their work time in specially designated areas via a smart phone. They can save time of wait in a long line and reduce transmission risk via time card equipment. They also can maintain social distancing, follow pandemic control and prevention measures, and manage on and off duty time. The new " @TCPB" LINE official account of the Bureau integrated various services to provide "AI intelligent analyses" functions and by adding the account on LINE, users can enjoy many convenient services. In the future, with this LINE account, users can be assisted with "Fraud Prevention," "Stolen Vehicle Detection" and "Request for Police Assistance."
