What to do for Air Raid Warnings? The Taichung City Police Department takes Pre-emptive Actions on LINE Account

Recently, due to frequent China aircraft intrusions, the big engine sounds of ROC war planes flying in the sky were overheard. But if air raid warnings are also heard suddenly, what shall we do? If there is an air raid, is there any public shelter for emergency evacuation? These are issues that concern the public. To respond to current hostile threats and to allow people in Taiwan to immediately get to know about the surrounding shelter locations, the Ministry of the Interior began initiating the "Disclosure" mechanism for emergency evacuation facilities during air raids and requested each police agency to go "online" in addition to the establishment of existing signage of emergency evacuation facilities. To achieve the goal of "online disclosure," the Police Department on November 16th this year (2020), the “Designated Area for Emergency Evacuation during Air Raids” was constructed on websites of the Department and each precinct to promote guidelines for emergency evacuation during air raids and disclose relevant facility locations (indicating address and accommodation capacities) and maps for public reference. Due to the popularity of LINE, the Department took the lead to construct the facility search system for emergency evacuation during air raids and disclose 1,053 buildings attached with relevant facilities for the public to search online after adding the official account of the Department (Line ID:@tcpb). By clicking on the search function of emergency evacuation during air raids and press location information, five surrounding facilities for evacuation and accommodation capacities will be directly shown. With Google Map's navigation function, routes can be quickly planned for fast accesses(please see attached operating description); the Department in pursuit of the spirit of technology enforcement led other cities and counties in Taiwan to allow the public to search on LINE for convenience, technology, safety and quickness functions. The public can go to the nearby safe shelter sites within the shortest period of time. To call for safety awareness of the public and to prepare them for danger in times of peace, the Department asked for the cooperation of all citizens in Taichung to be alert of air raid warnings from time to time to protect themselves and to reduce damage to lives and properties caused by air raids. Step 1: On the front page of LINE official account of the Department, select chat and enter. Step 2: select search for emergency evacuation facilities during air raid. Step 3: choose site information and you will see relevant information of your current location. Step 4: select information disclosure of the five nearby emergency evacuation facilities during air raids. Step 5: select one of the said facilities to show site map information. Step 6: select start to take you to the site.
