An Inspection Visit to the Referendum Ballot Printing Site by the Commisioner of the Taichung City Police Department for Tightened Safety and Security Protection

A national referendum was scheduled to be held on December 18th this year (2021). The Commisioner of the Taichung City Police Department, Tsai Tsang-po, especially on November 23rd visited and inspected in person the planning and preparation of safety and security at the secured printing site of the Ministry of Finance in Dali District. Commisioner Tsai said that in order to protect the voting rights of the public, he requested all his staff to participate in the safety and security maintenance work with the most sincere attitude and care. Additionally, in this referendum, voters will make decisions over Taiwan's future important policies and to maintain voting safety and security and to avoid misuse or damage of ballots that can cause disputes. Thus, from printing, delivery and storage, designated personnel are assigned to tighten safety and security protection to ensure full compliance to all legal requirements.
Commisioner Tsai at the same time called for no intervention of money and violence in this referendum vote and the police will demonstrate its determination to counter bribery and violence involved.
