Legislative Yuan passed the Third Reading of amendments to the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act on December 7, 2021, allowing members of the general public to report 46 types of traffic violations (including 5 non-moving and 41 moving violations). If violations of the same vehicle are within 6 minutes or within a block between two intersections, the competent authority of traffic or police office is limited to issue a single violation notice.
It has been approved by the Executive Yuan that Articles 7-1 and 85-1 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act will come into effective on April 30, 2022.
To report traffic violations occurred between April 23 and 29, 2022, please report and upload the evidence footage(images) before 24:00 on April 29, 2022 to facilitate the review of the case and issuance of the citation.
Citizens can report 46 types of vehicle violations specified in “Article 7-1 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act” starting from April 30, 2022. As for other violations, please dial 110 to report the case and the police from local police station will arrive at the scene to handle it.
