The 4th Terry Fox Run will commence on November 27 (Thursday) at 7am, starting from the plaza opposite the plot reserved for the National Music Hall. Taichung City Mayor Jason Hu, China Medical University Hospital Director Lin Zheng-Jie, the Deputy Director of the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei Chen Shu-Min and the Evergreen Sports Committee Chairman Liu Sheng-Gui and other important guests were all present at the press conference held on November 16. All citizens are invited to come run for charity, and it is hoped that healthy sporting activities will raise people's cancer awareness, and put more effort into cancer research.
Mayor Hu expressed that this is already the fourth Terry Fox Run to be held in Taichung. This run symbolizes a determined person, not bowing down to difficulties and continuing to plow forward, facing challenges with determination. This kind of spirit is well worth commending. Mayor Hu also thanked the China Medical University Hospital and other related units for their effort, as well as the keen participation of all citizens in this affair, so that this charity run can become more and more successful each year. Mayor Hu also sincerely invites everyone to come and run for charity, to increase our cancer awareness, and to run for good health.
