According to a survey released by the Consumers' Foundation, there are 28% of consumers drinking 1-5 cups of post-mixed beverages every week; 24% drinking 1-3 cups per month; and 16% drinking a cup a day. A cup of pearl milk tea supplies about 410 kilocalories of heat, which will be only burnt out by two hours of brisk walking or one hour of jogging or a riding trip on the Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way. People are encouraged to take the last option with family. It will not only burn fat easily but also enhance family amity.
Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way is not only the first bike lane converted from the discarded railway lines in the country but also the second dedicated bicycle lane in the country. The entire lane has a gentle slope and beautiful scenery along the way. It is suitable for all ages, especially good for a family. A riding trip on the Dongfeng Bicycle Green Way can help you consume 410 kilocalories, while a riding trip on the adjacent Houfeng Bike Path, which is shorter, can help you burn up the amount of fat equivalent to half a cup of pearl milk tea.
To promote “a combined weight loss of 101 tons in Greater Taichung”, the Health Bureau of Taichung City Government has been holding a series of events since March and has attracted 55,000 people to enroll in, the second highest enrollment among the five special municipalities. Up to the moment, accumulative weight loss in Taichung has reached 52 tons, the highest in the country. It is urged that Taichung citizens aged 6-64 whose BMI is greater than 20 continue to cut weight until the goal of 101-ton weight loss is accomplished.
Huang Mei-na (黃美娜), Director-general of Health Bureau of Taichung City Government, said that a cup of pearl milk tea a day and lack of exercise can make you gain weight of one kilogram in 20 days. It is urged that you and your family have a ride on the dedicated bike paths on holidays to burn fat while appreciating beautiful landscapes.
