In order to provide the public with real-time parking information and outstanding parking fee record inquiries, the Taichung City Government's Transportation Bureau launched the smart phone APP "Taichung e Parking" to provide "street parking information, parking fee inquiry, remaining parking space queries" functions. Car owners are welcomed to download the app.

"Taichung e-Parking" APP includes six major functions: "street parking information," is based on GPS location or keyword inquiries, it provides Taichung street parking, off-street parking rates and related information, and by pressing the map for 2 seconds, it can show the parking information within a two kilometer radius; "parking fees inquiry" allows owners to enter the license plate number to check the outstanding parking payment history for the past three months; "remaining parking space search" uses the GPS location or entered key words to check the remaining parking space information (at the moment, it is limited due to parking space and equipment, and is currently only available in some parking spaces). Also, in the "My Favorites" on the "Settings" menu options, enter the vehicle type and license plate number, and it will automatically show the last three months' parking fee record; under "remaining parking spaces Query" function option, click the asterisk, you can display the remaining parking spaces information.


Car owners and can search under "Announcement Messages" Transportation Bureau's announcement important messages; and in "Settings," enter the license number and relevant information to set reminders for unpaid parking fees messages (reminders can be set for 1, 3, or 5 days prior to the payment deadline).

Transportation Bureau would like to remind car owners that the use of hand-held phone or tablet to use the APP is prohibited while driving. Please pull over to the roadside and check to avoid violating Article 31 of the Road Traffic Regulations on Administrative Penalties, where car or motorcycle drivers driving on roads while use a hand-held mobile phone, computer, or other similar function device to dial, call or access data communications or other actions that impede the safe driving, may be fined accordingly.

Transportation Bureau would like to remind the public, please pay the parking fee before payment deadline to avoid increased fees incurred by mailing registered mail reminders or fines expenses. In the event that there is a forgotten payment, the Bureau welcomes the use of payment notification services (email, SMS, e housekeeper, APP), for those that have paid the fees through other methods (over the counter payments, supermarkets query machine, the national payment network, Transportation Bureau contracted financial institutions for the collection of parking fees), please do not take the parking ticket to the convenience store to pay, in order to avoid duplication of charge.
