The second round of Commodity Vouchers in 2025 launches on November 28. Double your money and get the best year-end deals in Taichung!

An important boost that helps consumers save money while supporting vendors and the marketplace is back once again! The second round of Commodity Voucher distribution will take place from November 28 to November 30, with different venues offering vouchers throughout the day. The vouchers may be used until December 4. According to the Economic Development Bureau, a lively press conference was held on the 19th to officially launch this year’s second round of the voucher program. The bureau announced two newly added featured venues and revealed that Fengjia Night Market will independently contribute an additional 3,000 vouchers. With the Taichung Shopping Festival and the NT$10,000 universal cash distribution currently fueling consumer demand, the public is invited to visit 108 participating markets, night-market vendor clusters, and shopping districts across Taichung to claim a total of 350,000 vouchers. Let’s double the money and get the best year-end deals in Taichung!
Economic Development Bureau Director Chang Feng-Yuan noted that this round offers an even more diverse selection of venues. In addition to the venues included previously—public markets, private markets, outsourced public markets, vendor clusters, shopping districts, and member stores of the Taichung Industry Story Hall Development Association—two new locations have been added this year: the Fuhao Evening Market in the East District and the Llyung Startup Cluster in Guangfu New Village of Wufeng District. Whether you wish to shop for groceries, enjoy local snacks, purchase handicrafts, or wander through creative hubs, Commodity Vouchers may be used to enjoy instant savings. This round is expected to generate NT$70 million in business revenue. Also, Fengjia Night Market—one of Taichung’s most beloved destinations for locals and international travelers—has also joined the program. In line with the current NT$10,000 universal cash distribution, the night market’s management committee is offering an additional 3,000 vouchers for its members, which is expected to stimulate at least NT$600,000 in additional spending.
The Economic Development Bureau emphasized that the rules for the Commodity Vouchers remain simple and the participating venues are more varied than ever, ensuring that from November 28 to 30 the public can easily collect vouchers and enjoy worry-free shopping while helping strengthen Taichung’s grassroots economy. The press conference also presented the premiere of the new promotional video for this second round, capturing the authentic spirit of Taichung’s markets—from hardworking early-morning vendors to energetic night-market stall owners—in a story highlighting the warmth of the marketplace and the “half-price” benefits of the Commodity Vouchers.
This round once again received strong support from the Taichung City Council. Council members participated enthusiastically in the promotional video, joined by vendors from Taichung’s iconic Second Market, the Qingshui First Market along the coastal area that offers a wide range of products, as well as emerging hotspots such as the Zong Zhan Night Market and the Wuqi Chung Gang Tourist Night Market vendor cluster. Together, they serve as ambassadors for the Commodity Voucher program and help showcase a wealth of must-visit vendor stalls across the city. The Economic Development Bureau further noted that scheduling the voucher program on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday allows more office workers and out-of-town visitors to participate. Members of the public are encouraged to visit markets and shopping districts to exchange NT$100 in cash for NT$200 worth of Commodity Vouchers. Each person may redeem two vouchers per venue. Please note that duplicate redemptions are not permitted and vouchers may not be used across different venues.
