To welcome the warm month of May, the Tourism and Travel Bureau of Taichung City Government has launched a special "May Appreciation Festival" campaign for the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle. From now until June 11, anyone who purchases any Taichung Taiwan Tourist Shuttle package ticket and completes registration will be eligible to enter the lucky draw, with a chance to win the grand prize of round trip airline tickets for two on STARLUX Airlines departing from Taichung to any destination, as well as a variety of practical gifts such as luggage hanging pouches. The Bureau invites the public to make the most of the campaign period by taking the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle through Taichung’s mountain, coastal, Tun, and urban areas, enjoying a relaxed and pleasant May getaway while creating beautiful memories along the journey.
The Bureau noted that Taichung’s Taiwan Tourist Shuttle links together diverse attractions across the mountains, coast, Tun, and urban districts, including the 11 Taichung Midtown Bus Loop, which weaves through the city center and lets travelers experience its fashionable pulse; the 888 Fengyuan Houli Route, which connects distinctive attractions in Houli and Fengyuan and offers deeper access to mountain town culture; the 679 Taichung Dynamic Coast Route, which showcases the romantic scenery and cultural character of the coastal area; and the popular 889 Dasyueshan Route, which invites travelers to embrace the fresh air of the natural mountain forest. With convenient and comfortable public transportation services,
visitors can easily explore Taichung without driving. During the campaign period, anyone who purchases a package ticket for any of the routes above and completes serial number registration may enter the weekly lucky draw and enjoy a low carbon and stress free travel experience.
In addition, from May 22 to 25, the Bureau will launch exclusive offers at the Taichung Pavilion during the 2026 Taipei Tourism Exposition (TTE). Visitors who purchase Taiwan Tourist Shuttle package tickets at Fun Taichung (Booth No. B321) will enjoy four exhibition only benefits, including a special on site price, an instant on site gift, an extra lucky draw serial number, and an additional prize draw upon registration with proof of purchase. Anyone who buys a package ticket at the booth will receive the discounted ticket price, one NT$100 convenience store gift voucher, and one extra lucky draw serial number, greatly increasing the chances of winning. This gives travelers a more affordable way to plan domestic trips while also giving them a chance to enjoy round trip international airfare departing from Taichung.
