Light Master To Create Chinese Valentine’s Day in Taichung Park with Light Decoration

In Taichung old town area, local government invited National Light Master Zhou Lian, one of the light designers for the Statue of Liberty, and his team to recreate the light effect of Taichung Park. Underwater lighting, belt light, foot light and short pillar light around Riyue Lake, TAICHUNG PARK Pavilion, fountain, Zhongzheng Bridge and Zhongshan Bridge, the decoration will be completed at 19:30 on 8/17, Chinese Valentine’s Day, with romantic ambiance.

The light recreation project for TAICHUNG PARK shall better the lighting balance, says Construction Bureau. For Pt Pavilion, LED belt light and downward light are installed along the existing lighting on eaves; 10-20 Watts projecting light within the Pavilion. At night the establishment transforms into a palace on lake.

Underwater light for Riyue Lake is coded to display automatically at the change of time and the fountain in the evenings, presenting a colorful dance of fountain in the dark.

As per Construction Bureau, two bridges, Zhongzheng Bridge and Zhongshan Bridge, have been renovated with different light effect as well. For red wooden Zhongshan Bridge, the Japanese style cross is enhanced by crimson belt light and orange yellow belt lights at existing sockets; projecting lights under two sides of bridge pops out the color and elegant structure.

For Zhongzheng Bridge, round shape light removed and belt light installed. Projecting lights at two banks and center bottom of the bridge, foot lights at every pillar, the honest brick bridge is enhanced by its original Beautiful curves.

Lake’s trail dotted with dimming yellow lights, short pillar lights around lotus pond and around the lake; trail single side foot lights, decoration tall lights and built-in ground lights. Tree trunks around lakes installed with projecting lights toward the trees without damaging the tree. Diverse lighting effect donnes various night view of Riyue Lake.

The project redecorated the Lake by switching old with new lights. Layers of light accentuate the actual shades of objects without glare, while enhancing lighting and security of the Park and each entrance, says Bureau Director Huang Yu-lin. Scenic light will be operational in batches to save energy. On special holidays or based on event needs the effect works to support each attraction and invigorate the park in the night time.
