Taichung World Flora Expo will be grandly opened on November 3rd. In order to encourage people to enjoy Taichung, the Taichung Municipal Government and Tourism Bureau combines three major sightseeing spots in Houli, Waipu and Fengyuan around the Flora Expo and expands to the central counties. The city has launched 36 full-scale strategy tour tours, offering free travel or group trip tourists with more travel suggestions.

According to the Tourism Bureau, embraced by mountains and the seam Taichung is rich in natural ecology and human history. Taichung Flora Expo has a multi-period exhibition and performance in addition to Houli, Waipu and Fengyuan Parks during the half-year exhibition period. According to the type of tourism and the number of activities, the government has launched different tour plans for the Flora Expo park, including 19 free travels, 14 group trips and 3 community depth trip routes for the reference of domestic and foreign tourists.

Take the Flora Expo Waipu Park near the sea line as an example. There are Shuiliu Dongtong Flower Trail, Worry-free Valley, Shusheng Winery, Buyingxiong Culture Creation Hall, Dajia Town Palace, Rice Industry Culture Center, Linshi Virtuous and Filial Piety Archway, Wenchang Temple and other special attractions, as well as the internationally renowned Gaomei Wetland, which are very suitable for visiting in the evening time and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The nearby Wuqi Old Street also preserves the ancient street scene. You can buy the century-old brand salty yolk cake as gift for friends and relatives.

Houli and Fengyuan parks in Shancheng area are surrounded by Houfeng Iron Horse Road, Dongfeng Bicycle Corridor, Libao Paradise Resort, Miaodong Night Market, Tai'an Railway Culture Park, Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market, Yuemei Sightseeing Sugar Factory and other well-known attractions, which are superior choice for visiting.

The Tourism Bureau has also held the "Voting for Top Ten Places of Interest Votes Around the Flora Expo", and finally the 10 scenic spots including Houfeng Iron Horse Road, Dongfeng Bicycle Green Corridor, Libao Paradise Resort, Dajia Town Langong Palace, Miaodong Night Market, Taian Railway Culture Park, Suiliu Dongtong Flower Trail, the Worry-free Valley, Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market, and Yuemei Sightseeing Sugar Factory stand out, and the various scenic spot strategies are also placed on the official website of Flora Expo.

According to the Tourism Bureau, tourists who like to ride bicycles may choose 6 bicycle lane including Dongfeng Bicycle Green Corridor, Tanyashen Green Park Road, Daan Coastal Bicycle Trail, Caohuxi Bicycle Trail, Dry Creek Bicycle Trail, etc. The length of the bicycle lanes is within 30km, with slow slope. The activity time is about 2 hours, which is also very suitable for family and parent-child activities.

In addition, during the Flora Expo period, the city government also selected 6 “flower-seeking trees” tourist routes. From November to next February, tourist may go to Houli Tai'am police station to see cherry blossoms, then go to the nearby Luoyusong Secret Environment, and then go to the Houlichang Flora Expo Park; from December to next March, it is recommended to enjoy the plum and cherry blossoms in Dongshi Forest Farm by following Dongfeng Green Corridor from the Houfeng Iron Horse Road.

From February to March, tourists may visit Houli Stub-farm Park of Flora Expo and transfer to the Sanfeng Road in Houli to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the golden-trumpet tree, then go to the Fengyuan Park and Miaodong Night Market to enjoy the gourmet. They may also go to Waipu Park, watch the cherry blossoms on Tiezhan Mountain, and then to the Daan Bathing Beach; from April to May, parents can also take the children to Houli Libao Park after playing, then go to Taiwan Yuemei Sightseeing Sugar Factory to have ice cream for cooling and finally enjoy the "May Snow" at the Yongfeng Shuiliu Dongtong Flower Trail.

To greet the Flora Expo, the municipal government has recruited more than 3,000 Flora Expo stores to cover the fields of food, clothing, housing and recreation. From now until April 30, visitors will use the ticket voucher or Flora Expo card to enjoy a variety of consumer discounts.
