The grand opening ceremony of Taichung Flora Expo will be held on Saturday. While tourists visit various excellent exhibitions and performances, 59 catering companies are also invited to provide a wide variety of catering options. The Flora Expo souvenir bento, with a cute big head modeling of the Flora Expo mascot-Life, is sold in bento specialty stores in Houli and Waipu Park Area. An “AI cooking machine” of the tiny restaurant of “Jipingxuan” in the Waipu Park Area can cook a bowl of noodle in 60 seconds, which quite has its own characteristics.

The Economic Development Bureau said that in order to provide tourists with a variety of delicious food choices, the municipal government has selected 59 catering companies to create special delicious food in each park area. For example, bento specialty stores in the Houli and Waipu Park Area can provide several kinds of bento, including bento at three price points of 65yuan, 90yuan and 120yuan printed with the logo of the Expo mascot on the paper box. There is also bento of vegetarian. In addition, the visitor can choose the Flora Expo souvenir bento priced at 350yuan with which you can take the cute Life bento box home.

The outdoor light food area in Waipu Park Area, with blue and white color, creates a Greek sea style. It introduces innovative and globalized tiny restaurants-“Jipingxuan”, using the AI cooking machine to cook a bowl of noodles within 60 seconds. While people visit the park to appreciate intelligent agriculture, they can also experience on-site self-service operation.

The delicious food area of the Fengyuan Huludun Park has introduced nine distinctive three-wheeled dining cars, selling everything including coffee, hot-pressed toast, warship sushi to nostalgic snacks. Visitors can enjoy their food as well as have a great view of the beauty of the water bank.

The Houli Horse Ranch, with the theme of “Paradise of Flowers and Horses”, has built catering facilities for five rainbow macarons containers, which will be a popular spot to take photos after opening. The 40-year-old Wandong Merchant, a four-star booth certified by the ministry of economic affairs and represented Taichung in Taipei Flora Exposition nine years ago, will provide delicious traditional dishes such as crisp fish rice, tempura, and fish ball soup. The Mushroom God Restaurant, most popular in the Xinshe Mushroom Street, will also serve crispy mushroom and various mushroom packages. There are other gourmet foods like egg-cakes. Everyone can enjoy the sight of horses and flowers as well as taste different creative gourmet foods.

The Houli Forest Expo Site has introduced the international Taiwanese tea beverage brand-Chatime, which is the first and only tea beverage brand in the world to enter the Louvre Museum in France and is the star food and beverage brand in Taiwan. The pearl milk tea that is popular all over the world is worthy of tasting. This Park Area also offers pizza, Japanese puffs, sushi and a variety of Taiwanese snacks and drinks. Visitors can enjoy delicious food in the beautiful nature of the Forest Expo Site.

In addition to the outdoor dining area in the Houli Horse Ranch, the restaurant at the second floor of the Floral Exhibition Hall and the restaurant of Ranch Restaurant can accommodate about 500 people and 300 people at the same time respectively. The restaurant of the Floral Exhibition Hall has “Kyoto Noodles” and “EU Pantry Food Court”. The former offers various types of the main course such as stretched noodles and Japanese rice served with meat and vegetables on top. The latter provides all kinds of western foods. The Ranch Restaurant is mainly to provide western fast food and Chinese set meals for people to choose.

The Economic Development Bureau said that in addition to various gourmet food, the “Hi-life” convenience store has entered in the “Ranch Gift Shop” of Houli Horse Ranch to meet the catering and other service needs of visitors.
