Taichung Flora Expo exhibition period is expected to attract more than 8 million visitors to visit. Director Yi-chuan Wang, Transportation Bureau, Taichung City Government, has reminded the visitors of「It’s the utmost option to visit Flora Expo by train！」If the visitors from the other cities would like to drive, they only need to type「Flora Expo shuttle bus stations」and search by Google search engine, then they will find all the Flora Expo parking lots where are also the shuttle bus stations. Please drive to the parking lot you’d like to by following the instructions of Flora Expo transportation guide and take the free shuttle bus to the Park. Taichung citizens may drive to 5 shuttle bus stations, including Taiyuan parking lot, Maple garden, Xiangshang flower market, Dali sport park and west side of Shalu train station etc., for parking and transfer to shuttle buses to the Flora Expo Parks.

Director Yi-chuan Wang, Transportation Bureau, explained the tactics of transportation for Flora Expo visiting to wish the visitors to have an easy trip in Flora Expo. He said, the visitors for Flora Expo are estimated to exceed 8 million of people so the City Government has planned a lots of parking lots with 12,000 of car parking spaces and 5,000 of motorcycle parking spaces to allow the visitors to drive or ride to enjoy the trip without worrying about the parking issues. All the parking lots will provide the free shuttle services to every Flora Expo Park.

Among these parking lots,「Lihbo first parking lot」is the major parking lot in Waipu Park and provides 1,420 car parking spaces and 700 motorcycle parking spaces;「Shengang parking lot」is the major parking lot in Houli Park and provides 4,470 car parking spaces so the visitors are suggested to drive to the National Highway No. 4 and leave by way of Shengang interchange to Housheng Road along the fluorescent yellow sign of Flora Expo and drive to the Shengang parking lot according to the instructions.「Jiabao Factory parking lot 」is the major parking lot in Fengyuan Park with 850 car parking spaces and people may take the way to leave through the Fengyuan interchange of National Highway No. 1 to reach the parking lot.

Regarding the visitors driving in the downtown of Taichung, Director Wang mentioned they can just follow the instructions of the fluorescent yellow signs of Flora Expo to the Taiyuan parking lot, Maple garden, Xiangshang flower market, Dali sport park and the west side of Shalu train station etc., those 5 shuttle bus stations will provide the car parking spaces as well to allow the people to take the shuttle buses right after getting the cars parked. They can go to the Houli east shuttle bus station by free shuttle service to enter Houli Park; in addition, they can take transit auto-bus from the Houli Park to Waipu Park.

Director Wang said, for those non-local visitors taking high speed rail to visit Flora Expo, they can stop at「HSR- Miaoli station」and take 5 minutes of walk to Taiwan railway Fengfu station to take the shuttle bus to Houli station; the east exit of Houli station is the the Flora Expo Park. The transportation time between Taipei and Miaoli by High Speed Rail is around 46 minutes with the ticket price of NT$430 and the transportation time between Taiwan railway Fengfu station to Houli station is only 33 minutes with the ticket price of NT$52 in addition to the walking time, the total time spent on transportation is around 84 minutes with the ticket cost of NT$482 which is cheaper than taking the trip from Taipei to Taichung then transferring by the local train from Taiwan railway New Wuri station to Houli and even faster due to the time saved.

Director Wang addressed, the top transportation recommendation to visit Flora Expo is by train. All the trains will stop by Houli and Fengyuan with the service interval of 10 minutes. Among Houli forest, horse ranch and Waipu Park, there will be the shuttle bus service around these three parks so people may go anyone first as they like. Non-local visitors may use train, high speed rail and free shuttle buses to visit these Flora Expo Parks and the visitors driving to Flora Expo May just follow the signs to arrive at the parking lots and take the free shuttle buses to leave for the Parks.
