Over a period of 173 days from November 3, 2018, to April 24 this year 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition is drawing to a conclusion, and the closing ceremony will be held at the Blossom Outdoor Theater in Houli Horse Ranch Expo Site. In order to create a festive ambiance, the closing week "Take and share a photo to win prizes" activity will take place at the Blossom Outdoor Theater and Darwin Green Area. According to the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Chio Tian Folk Drums and Arts Troupe's will be presenting the epic performance of King of Middag at the Blossom Outdoor Theater of Horse Ranch Expo Site as the piece de resistance for the flora expo's closing ceremony from 14:00 to 16:00 every day from now until the 23rd. Furthermore, from now until the 24th, outstanding domestic and foreign troupes will be bringing exciting performances by the Darwin Green Area at 15:00 every afternoon.

King of Middag depicts the history of blood and tears of cross-tribal governance by King Middag of the Pingpu Tribe on Dadu Mountain. The play authentically portrays the story of Taichung to foster people's recognition of their own culture. It is hoped that the percussion energy, forthright expression of emotions, and primal body language can convey the most realistic sound of the land, taking the audience on a journey to explore the history of the King of Middag, as well as Taichung's historic development and cultural background.
