There are seven days to go to the end of Taichung Expo! Everyone’s favorite mascots “the Leopard Cat Family and Old Horsiver” will also say goodbye to us. In order to respond to the passionate support of the public, Taichung City Government between April 19th and 24th will organize mascot meetings every day. On April 24th, the closing ceremony day, the leopard family and old Horsiver will greet the last group of visitors to the Flora Expo and accompany visitors until the last moment.

Director of Information Bureau Wu Huang-Sheng said now we are counting down to the end of the Flora Expo and many people wrote “For lovely leopard family and Old Horsiver, we will always remember you;” “I don’t want to say goodbye to you, my favorite leopard cat area of discovery hall;” “I am so proud of Taichung and the best leopard cat family” on the fanpage of “the Leopard Cat Love & Live.” Some even asked “Will I see you guys after the Flora Expo?” Thus, the City Government in the last phase of the Expo arranges more meetings between April 14th and 24th besides the regular meeting on each Saturday.

Director Wu said Leopard Cat Dad and Mon, Lai Hu, Le Hu, and Old Horsiver will take turn to come to Houli Horse Farm Park, Waipu Park, and Fengyuan Park everyday at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 in the afternoon between April 19th and 24th to meet with the public. Each meeting is scheduled 20 minutes and visitors are welcome to take photos.

Additionally, on the closing ceremony day, April 24th, besides three meetings in the afternoon, mascots will greet visitors at 9:00 and two more meetings at 10:00, and 11:00 in the morning are also arranged to welcome the last group of visitors to the Expo and accompany them to the last moment.

Information Bureau also emphasized that due to the popularity of Taichung Expo since its opening, mascots Leopard Cat Dad and Mon, Lai Hu, Le Hu, and Old Horsiver have become superstars. The public responded with great passions for meetings at Houli Horse Farm Park, Houli Forest Park, Waipu Park, and Fengyuan Park at the regular schedule.
