
Director General of Transportation Bureau, Ye Shao-Fu pointed out that in addition to Line 800, at present, there are also Line 5, 53, 73, 83, 89, 157, 290, 356, and 359 available and the traffic network covers Taichung Train Station, Chaoma Transit Station, administrative districts including Dali, Wufong, Dajia, Shalu and Beitun, and famous destination sites such as Fongjia Business District, Izhong Business District, Donghai Business District, Shen Ji New Village and Calligraphy Greenway. Bus riders can get off at “MRT Wenxin Forest Park Station,” “Wenxin Forest Park (Xiangshang Rd.)” “Xiangshang-Huiwei Transection,” “Wenxin South-Datun 7th St.” to walk to the side exhibition area.
For easy access to public bus information, the Transportation Bureau adds the logo of the Lantern Festival at stops of the nearby public buses and information of the Festival is also available at stops of public buses along Wenxin Rd while “Taichung Public Bus” app will add the designated lantern area to specially mark routes and stops to the Festival.
Furthermore, to avoid traffic jams, visitors by car can park their cars at Xiangshang and South Shuinan from Friday to Sunday and then they are welcome to take two free shuttle bus services of “Xiangshang Line” and “South Shuinan” to the side exhibition area.
Director General of Transportation Bureau, Ye Chao-Fu said huge crowds are expected to visit Wenxin Forest Park during the Festival and to avoid traffic jams, he calls for the use of public transport. The main exhibition area of the “2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taichung” will be open between February 8th and 23rd in Houli Forest and Horse Park while the side area will begin its exhibition on December 21st this year in Wenxin Forest Park. Everyone is welcome to the Festival in Taichung.
