Secretariat stated that to respond to the outbreak of COVID-19, Taichung City Government aims to prevent cluster infection by quickly tracing contacts. Since March 16th, real-name registration is required for people who come to offices of the Taichung City Government for public services. Contact records at the offices of the Taichung City Government are also kept. Thus, the public who need multiple services have to frequently leave their personal information. In order to provide better services, the real-name registration app has been developed by employees of the Taichung City Government. Utilizing digital technology for disease prevention and control improves the time-consuming process of paper registration. It helps to avoid contacts and quickly trace business contacts of the public.
The Secretariat said trials have been conducted at the exit and entrance on Floor 1 and the joint office area on Floor 1, respectively, at the Taiwan Boulevard and Yangming Civic Building. After its smooth operations, all agencies of the Taichung City Government will adopt the measure. It is not only for the benefit of the public but also helps to develop the databank and improve efficiency.
Additionally, to facilitate shared information of disease control and prevention and to reduce the cost of repeated system development, the Secretariat has uploaded the source code of the real-name registration app on the online shared platform (https://github.com/mirror520/tiwengo; https://github.com/mirror520/tiwenpass). Any agency that needs to develop the app can feel free to download.
Secretariat also reminds the public to make use of online application and telephone consultation to avoid entering unnecessary public spaces. For personal services at the counters, please visit the Civic Building on Taiwan Boulevard and the joint office area at the courtyard of the Yangming Civic Building. Do wear face masks, wash hands, and register with real names. We shall together prevent the spread of the disease to protect ourselves and others.
