Due to the easing situation of the COVID-19, the public services of Taichung City Government since May 18th have returned to normal but logistics, delivery or postal services personnel shall only deliver their goods on Floor 1 and underground levels. Everyone is required to wear a mask, check body temperature, wash hands and maintain social distancing. Staff of the Taichung City Government have to wear an identification card. Non-governmental employees and the general public shall comply with the real-name registration and are encouraged to use “the Real-name Registration app for Tracing.”
According to the Secretariat, since April 1st due to the consideration of serious outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, joint public service areas were set up, respectively, on Floor 1 of Wenxin Building on Taiwan Boulevard and the Courtyard of Yangming Civic Building as well as logistics delivery areas to control the entrance of the public to enter office areas on Floor 2 and above of Wenxin Building and Yangming Civic Building.
Now the pandemic is eased and to allow citizens to return to normal life, since May 18th, the public can receive public services on each floor and the joint office areas are now temperately closed. Logistics, delivery or postal services personnel shall only deliver their goods on Floor 1 and underground levels.
According to the Secretariat, on work days, entrances and business hours of the civic buildings remain the same including four on Floor1 of Taiwan Boulevard Civic Building, B1 of Huizhong Rd. and elevator at the side of Huizhong Chuantang, elevator of B1 Wenxin Chuantang side, elevator of B2 Huizhong Rd. and Wenxin Rd. as well as front and rear gates and entrances of the underground parking lot of Yangming Civic Building. Office hours on workdays are from 8:00 to 17:00.
The Secretariat reminds the public that although in Taiwan, the pandemic is now eased, but the public shall still be vigilant and ensure personal sanitation and adopt pandemic prevention and control measures. Do wear a face mask when coming for public services and wash hands, check body temperature, register with your real name and maintain social distancing to protect the health yourself and others.
