This year marks the sixth anniversary of the grand annual biking event, "the 2020 Wheels Ride Festival" that will begin on November 29th at the square in front of the Taichung City Government building. Registration is now open until September 14th. According to the Sports Bureau, about 5,000 domestic bikers are expected to take a part in the challenge of a total biking distance of 73K. All biking lovers are welcome.
The "2020 Wheels Ride Festival" is co-organized by the Sports Bureau of the Taichung City Government, Taiwan Sports, Leisure and Health Development Association, Cycling Time and OSEOUS with the aim to promote biking. The biking route goes through the new scenic site of Taichung, "the Harp Bridge," the Metropolitan Park in beautiful and green suburb, challenging and famous "Squirrel Slope," fascinating "Gaomei Wetlands" in Qingshui and "Wanggaoliao," Hakodate of Taichung for night views of downtown. Diverse and magnificent sceneries on the way allow bikers to enjoy various beautiful sites of Taichung.
The Sports Bureau said the Taichung City Government have been working actively to build Taichung into a sports city. This year's Wheels Ride Festival has been supported by iTaiwan Sports Project of Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education. It is hoped that through biking events, more will begin their exercise. Biking in Taichung! Registration for the 2020 Wheels Ride Festival Now Open
