Announcements for the lucky draw of the 2020 Taichung Shopping Festival to win a luxurious house as well as tickets to The Glory Taichung Concert Organized by the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Taichung City Government which will be held at the Yuanman Outdoor Theater, Taichung, on September 12th. This year, for the first time, dual stages are provided for the consecutive performances of bands. Led by two independent music bands, Amphibious and MenliveN, singers such as the winner of the Golden Melody Awards, Wong Li-You, will join the concert. Additionally, the lucky draw for the grand prizes of this year's shopping festival, a luxurious house and two pieces of famous paintings, will also be announced on the day. Everyone is welcome to take part.
The press conference for the promotion of serial events of the Concert was held Today (the 28th). The winner of Super Idol, Li Tzi-Sen, from Taichung performed for the event. According to the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Taichung City, the Concert invites various well-known singers including the winner of the Best Male Taiwanese Singer, Wong Li-You, Liang Wen Yin, Li Tzi-Sen, Vickey Chen, Evan Yo and Lin Liang-Huan. At the concert site, there will be a featured district and community market and parent-child DIY activities. There will be lucky draw winners for grand prizes such as iPhone11 and 43-inch LED TV.
Director General of the Civil Affairs Bureau, Wu Shi-Wei, said the Concert will start at 15:00 and at the secondary stage, three groups from communities featuring local culture will perform first. At the site, there will be a creative market for stands organized by farmers' associations of various districts and community development associations selling gourmet snacks and farmers' produce. There will be also four sessions of parent-child DIY activities. Additionally, this year, there is the "Treasure Hunt in Communities" game that invites participants to match image plates and names of 29 districts. Points can be collected on a card to redeem one thermal bag for those who complete the collection. Participants are also invited to take photos of installation artworks at the venue and post them on IG or Facebook for gifts including fans.
Director General Wu further described there are many grand prizes for the concert including iPhone 11, a 43-inch LED TV, folding bikes, cook pots, electronic pots, vacuum cleaners and oven toasters. Furthermore, the accumulated amount registered for the Taichung Shopping Festival exceeded NT$7 billion. The winner for the lucky draw of a luxurious house will be picked and announced by Mayor Lu Shiow-Yen and the lucky draw event will successfully conclude this year's shopping festival.
According to the Bureau, participants of the Concert shall be administered via the name registration and tickets will be given away freely. Since September 1st, residents of Taichung can request tickets from their local district offices and each person allows to request for two tickets. At 17:30 on the concert day, admission will begin for those with tickets.
