Exciting Atayal tribal culture! Taichung City Indigenous Affairs Commission launches 4 travel itineraries

The indigenous tourism industry is flourishing! The Taichung City Indigenous Affairs Commission unveiled 4 travel and gastronomic itineraries today inspired by the theme of indigenous food and specialty agricultural products. The itineraries include the Dajia River route, Daan River route, Dali Mountain and urban areas that are combined with a wide range of activities including a tour of an Atayal village, indigenous savory dishes, savory food DIY, hunters' experience camp, etc. This year, well-known YouTuber LoganDBeck – an enthusiast of Taiwanese indigenous culture - will be invited to produce a trailer to invite people to visit Taichung.

The Taichung City Indigenous Affairs Commission organized the "Authentic Indigenous Culture" media tour for the Dajia River route today (September 29), inviting industry players, bloggers and the press to explore gourmet restaurants and premium agricultural products in indigenous villages. According to the Indigenous Affairs Commission Commissioner, Lin I-Liu, in addition to the 4 meticulously designed travel and gastronomic itineraries, the Greater Taichung Indigenous Gourmet Map will be unveiled in the future, inviting travelers from all over the country to visit Taichung and experience a unique culinary journey.

The Indigenous Affairs Commission elaborated that the gastronomic itineraries include Atayal Hunters' Experience Camp, authentic Atayal Gourmet Cuisine and Gu La Si Atayal Restaurant, as well as gourmet food DIY experience at Ge Ni An Indigenous Handmade Food and great value for money specialty agricultural products from Gu Yun Mushroom. The itineraries are perfect for the general public and the entire family. For more information, please refer to the TIPC Food Facebook fan page (https://www.facebook.com/tipcfood2020/).
