Halloween is just around the corner and the Bureau of Economic Development of the Taichung City Government jointly worked with five business districts to organize a series of Halloween events between October 24th and November 1st including celebrations held respectively in Zhongxing Business District of Dali and Donghai Art Street Business District on October 24th, in Dajia Business District on the 25th, in Art Museum Parkway Business District on the 31st and in Jingming 1st Street Business on November 1st. Events will include Halloween costume contests. The final winner of the "Halloween Costume" at the Art Museum Parkway Business District will win the cash prize of NT$50,000. Everyone is welcome.
The press conference for the Trick or Treat Halloween series events was held today (16th) at the Crescent Phoenix Restaurant in the Art Museum Parkway Business District. Deputy Director General of the Bureau of Economic Development, Li Yi-An, said, Mayor Lu Shiow-Yen put an emphasis on the development of business districts and due to the entertaining atmosphere of the Halloween Festival, trick or treat has become an important part of the holiday celebrations. The Taichung City Government invites everyone to come to Taichung to celebrate "Fun Halloween Festival in Taichung."
The Bureau pointed out that Halloween costume contests will be held in each business district participating in the celebrations including the "Big Fun Halloween Event " in Zhongxing Business District of Dali and the "Halloween-HA! We are at the Art Street" in Donghai Art Street Business District on October 24th, the "Better Together to Celebrate Halloween with You" in Dajia Business District on the 25th, the "Trick or Treat-Children's Fun Halloween" in Art Museum Parkway Business District on the 31st and the "2020 Pumpkin Festival Parade" in Jingming 1st Street Business on November 1st.
Each business district will give away luring cash prizes or other prizes and among them, the winner of the costume contest in Zhongxing Business District will take home the cash prize of a shopping voucher equivalent to NT$5,000; the winner of Dajia Business District will be awarded with the cash prize of NT$3,000 plus Peace Praying Backpack in limited edition. The winner of the Art Museum Parkway Business District will be given the highest amount cash prize of NT$50,000 and the winner of the children’s group will receive the cash prize of NT$25,000. Additionally, participants who join the costume contest in the Donghai Art Street Business District will receive a surprise Halloween pack in limited edition and those taking a part in the contest in Jingming 1st Street Business District will be given a certificate.
According to the Bureau, this year is the first time that the Bureau is working with various business districts in Taichung to organize Halloween series events of with the attempt to attract more visitors to Taichung. Everyone is invited to shop in the business districts, enjoy Halloween in Taichung and have fun! Attendees of the press conference included the Chairperson of Dali Business District, Wang Yu-Ching, Chairperson of Art Museum Parkway Business District, Tsai Ping-Hui, Chairperson of Dajia Business District, Hsu Tzi-Yun, Chairperson of Ziyu Hardware Business District, Yang Sheng-Hsiung as well as representatives from the offices of Legislator Huang Kuo-Shu and Councilman Huang Shou-Da.
