As the 2020 Taichung Ho! Ho! Ho! event draws to an end, part of the decorative lighting at Luchuan Canal and Liuchuan Canal have been re-designed and adjusted to continue the beautiful exhibition of lights, keeping Luchuan Canal and Liuchuan Canal illuminated every night during the Chinese New Year. This is the ideal destination for people's recreational activities!
To allow the public to continue admiring the scenery of lights, the "Life and Dolphin," "Leopard Cat Dad and Candy Cane" as well as the "Omi Horse Holding a Saxophone" light installations have been retained at the Liuchuan Canal. Meanwhile, the White Reindeer light installation at the Luchuan Canal has been preserved and it is complemented by yellow meteor shower lights by the grass slope and heartwarming globe lights hanging from trees to endow Luchuan Canal and Liuchuan Canal with different appearances during the day and at night. The decorative lights will be turned on from 18:00 to 21:00 daily until after the Lantern Festival (February 26). People are invited to visit the Luchuan Canal and Liuchuan Canal to appreciate the light installations and enjoy a leisurely stroll.
The Water Resources Bureau reminds the people that due to the pandemic, although the Luchuan Canal and Liuchuan Canal are both outdoor venues, please maintain social distancing and follow all outbreak prevention measures. When admiring the lights or taking photos, please be a responsible citizen and do not touch or climb the light installations.
