Good News to Local Residents in Dingliou Community, Wuqi! Loop Route Operations of Bus Line #307 to Bade Rd. and Dayong Rd. start since 4/12

The area to the north of Dazhi Rd., Dingliao Community of Wuqi District belongs to a replotting zone where in recent years multiple congregate residential buildings were constructed without bus services to downtown. The Taichung City Transportation Bureau actively negotiated with bus transit operators to adjust loop routes of Bus Line #307 to Bade Rd. and Dayong Rd. on April 12th by adding stops at the "Intersection of Bade Rd. and Siwei Rd.," "Dingliao Community Cultural Square," the "Intersection of Dayong North and South Rd." and the "Harbor and Marine Technology Center (on Dayong Rd.)" to benefit local residents. Director General of the Transportation Bureau, Yeh Chao-Fu, said the northern area of Dingliao Community is the new replotting zone in the coastal area. Except for multiple congregate residential buildings, there are several construction projects being built. With the continuous increase of residents who move in, local transportation services shall be planned in advance. To encourage local residents to make use of mass transportation means, the Bureau actively negotiated with bus transit operators to first evaluate a route change of Bus Line #307 from Dazhi Rd. and Linggang Rd. in a loop to Bade Rd. and Dayong Rd. to provide more convenient services. In the future, on a roll planning basis, reviews will be conducted to offer comprehensive transit services. Director General Yeh said Bus Line #307 at present utilizes two terminal stations of the Wuqi Fish Port and the Shin Min High School to provide transit services for local residents to travel from and to the fish port. Additionally, because the route goes to Taiwan Boulevard, Taichung Station and Yizhong Commercial District on Sanmin Rd. and links up to several schools such as China Medical University, National Taichung University of Science and Shin Min High School with commuting, recreational and downtown shopping convenience that helps to increase ridership. The public is encouraged to make the best use of the bus services.
