The Transportation Bureau of Taichung City Government announced that the parking charges for the City’s public unenclosed off-street parking and roadside parking (for automobiles and motorcycles) will be suspended from January 31 to February 4, 2022 (from the Chinese New Year Eve to the fourth day of Lunar New Year) for five days. As for enclosed parking and parking towers with controlled access, charges will apply as usual. Besides, to maintain road users’ rights for parking, the Bureau will enforce inspections on parking facilities to ensure that there are no illegitimate charges (ex., increase the parking charges or rate arbitrarily) during the Chinese New Year Holidays.
