Director Wu explained that Taichung's marriage rate has continued to rank first among the six municipalities from 2021 to April of this year, showing that Taichung citizens have the courage to demonstrate their love and commitment, and that they value family and marriage. The city government also continues to steadily raise people's willingness to marry and give birth, actively improving social welfare, cultural and educational measures, and the city's livelihood functions, including raising the childbirth allowance from NT$10,000 to NT$20,000 per child. The city is government also promoting programs such as " Doubling the Child Care Centers", "Increasing the Public Kindergartens", and "Building District Parent-Child Centers" and the lowest monthly public child care fees in Taiwan, with parents paying only NT$1,500 per month. Besides, each Household Registration Office also actively promotes the population policy and creates wedding photo area with various special themes, so that the newlyweds can have happier and brighter photos.
