1. Which cards can be bound with the “citizen only” ride discount?

• EasyCard, iPass and icash can all be bound with this special offer. Additionally, digital student ID cards, student cards, co-branded credit cards/debit cards, and specially designed cards issued by schools in Taichung City are also eligible for card binding. Please note that the eligibility of the card identity is important, as the 'citizen-only' ride discount will become invalid upon card expiration. In such cases, you will need to bind the discount with another card).
• The validity of the student ID card and student card identity can be checked on the 'Inquiry of Card Status' page on the "Citizen Only Taichung Transportation Card" website (https://idoor.taichung.gov.tw/card/status). Nevertheless, please note that the card's validity is determined by its status at the time of card binding and should be verified directly from the card itself.
• For special identity fare types such as the student card available for purchase, the citizen-only discount can only be bound after completing the card denomination process according to the original terms agreed upon with the e-ticket company.

2. Which cards are not eligible for binding to the "citizen only" ride discount?

• E-tickets that are currently locked or blacklisted; citizen cards issued by other city/county governments; affinity cards or Elderly Love Card; non-denominated iPass student cards; non-denominated EasyCard student cards; expired digital student ID cards or student cards; icash2.0 discount card; NFC-SIM card; and virtual cards (ex. Samsung Pay EasyCard, Fitbit Pay iPass) are not open for card binding.
• Non-denominated EasyCard student cards can be denominated according to the original terms agreed upon with the e-ticket company in order to receive the citizen-only discount.

3. Is every citizen eligible to bind only one card to the "citizen-only" ride discount? Why? To ensure that each citizen can consistently benefit from the double-ten bus ride discount, the city government has introduced the "citizen-only" ride discount. This measure also prevents the excessive use of limited resources, as each citizen is allowed to bind the discount to only one card.
