According to Mayor Lu, the Taichung City Government took advantage of the four-day National Day holiday to organize National Day-related activities. While the early release of the National Day fireworks could have been more satisfactory, the overall event was fruitful and attracted large crowds and substantial revenue. They attracted 1,833,700 people to enter Taichung during the four-day holiday, creating an output value of more than 4.2 billion yuan, leading to hotel business opportunities in Taichung City. Three days before the holiday, the occupancy rate averaged about 90%. Nearly 400,000 people entered the venue and surrounding areas on the night of the fireworks display. She thanked the city government team for their efforts in maintaining order and the cooperation of all participating people. At about 10 p.m., the city government had evacuated the crowds. In particular, some traffic jam spots were relieved before 11 o'clock. In addition, Taichung Mass Rapid Transit also evacuated before 10 o'clock. 61,822 people took the TMRT that day, setting a new high since the TMRT opened three years ago.

Mayor Lu highlighted that on the night of the National Day fireworks, the Environmental Protection Bureau dispatched 500 cleaning personnel who efficiently cleaned and tidied up the city of Taichung after evacuating the crowds. The cleaning personnel cleaned the entire area before midnight. Taichung City was restored the next day, with 10 tons of garbage and 4 tons of resource recycling removed. Mayor Lu mentioned that the Taichung Jazz Festival will take place during the National Day holiday and will be held at the People's Square for ten consecutive days, from October 13 to 22. It is one of her favorite activities. Listening to jazz music with loved ones under the stars is very beautiful. At the opening ceremony on October 14, 150,000 people poured into the People's Square to listen to the music. The event is still in progress, and everyone is welcome to participate.

Mayor Lu also stated the Taichung Jazz Festival will end on October 22, and the fifth Taichung Shopping Festival will start on October 26. The event will last for two months and last until the New Year. This year, the Information Management Center upgraded the Taichung Shopping Festival APP to the "Taichung Pass and Shopping Festival," and the number of downloads is about to exceed two million, an astonishing number. Mayor Lu emphasized that the World Information Technology & Service Alliance (WITSA) is the most influential organization in the global ICT service industry. The annual World Information Technology Conference is known as the "Olympic Games" in the information and communication industry. A total of 30 countries nominated this time, and 134 units participated in the competition. Taichung City's recognition as the first prize of the "Public/Private Partnership Award" represents that Taichung's digital service application capabilities of technology development have jumped onto the international stage.
