The tourism and amusement industry under the jurisdiction of Taichung City includes Dongshi Forest Garden and Lihpao Resort. The Tourism and Travel Bureau of Taichung City regularly invites the Urban Development Bureau, Legal Affairs Bureau, Labor Affairs Bureau, Social Affairs Bureau, Police Department, Fire Bureau, Health Bureau, Environmental Protection Bureau and Transportation Bureau for a joint inspection in both the first and second half of each year, in addition to random checks from time to time. The Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications also sends out an assessment team every year for the tourism amusement industry supervision and assessment competition. For any noncompliance found during any of the inspections, the business will be asked for improvement by a specified deadline. For any noncompliance or failure to improve by the deadline, the competent authority will exercise disciplinary sanctions in accordance with the applicable regulations.
