Guided tours are available for scenic areas in Taichung City on the following schedules:

1. For Dakeng Scenic Area (formerly the Dakeng Butterfly and Firefly Restoration Park), the guided tour for the local ecology of the park (next to the Zhongzhen Camping Ground near the Dakeng Trail No. 4) has been provided since Dec 1 2013. At 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays every month, the guided tour is provided by a voluntary worker at the park entrance; also, at 9:00 a.m. on the first, third and fifth Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays year round for Dakeng Hiking Trails 5-1 and 7. 2. Guided tour is available at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. on every Sunday for the Dajia Tiezhenshan Scenic Area, in front of the visitor service center.

3. Guided tour is available at 9:00 a.m. on every Saturday for the Da’an Beach, in front of the visitor service center.
