Taichung has actively promoted the animation industry. The Hokusai Manga World Exhibition Tour has attracted international attention and received high praise, and chose Taichung as its first stop in Taiwan. The exhibition showcases 103 selected image output works and seven original works of modern cartoonists. Director of the Information Bureau of Taichung City Government, Zhao-Xin Zheng, and the Minister of the News and Culture Ministry in the Taipei Office of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, Chiyoshi Muramoto, jointly attended the unveiling ceremony today (16th). They called on manga fans to come to Taichung and experience the cultural charm of Hokusai Manga during the Edo period.

"The Hokusai Manga Exhibition: From Modern Japanese Comics to 'Hokusai Manga'" will be held grandly at the Historic Building Empire Sugar Factory Taichung Office, the historic building, from today until January 14th next year. The unveiling ceremony today featured a captivating showcase by renowned Coser and Circle Dance, marking the lively opening of the event.

Director Zheng highlighted that during the Edo period, Hokusai Manga gained international renown for its Ukiyo-e style, and related merchandise such as T-shirts, phone cases, and water bottles frequently caught the public's attention. The Hokusai Manga World Exhibition has received high praise in countries such as India, Italy, and the United States, making its debut in Taiwan. The first stop is the "Historic Building Empire Sugar Factory Taichung Office," which showcases 103 image output works, including works by Ukiyo-e masters such as Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Kuniyoshi's Giga and Toba Paintings. There are also original works by seven modern manga artists, including Kotobuki Shiriagari and Yuichi Yokoyama, paying tribute to Hokusai Manga, allowing anime fans to experience the unique charm of Hokusai Manga that they have passed down for over two hundred years.

Director Zheng stated the city government has long promoted the animation industry and maintained good comic exchanges with Japan. He was honored to co-organize the comic exhibition with the Taipei Office of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association and the Japan Foundation. He thanked the "Historic Building Empire Sugar Factory Taichung Office "for providing a venue full of historical and literary atmosphere. At the same time, the National Taiwan Museum of Comics of the Ministry of Culture will be put into trial operation in the Taichung Prison Dorm House Cluster in late December. The "Taichung Christmas Carnival" is also in the old Taichung Railway Station square, Midori–Kawa, and Yanagawa Waterway, where LINE FRIENDS such as Brown and Cony will have fun together. Planning a full-day trip to wander around Old Taichung Central District is highly recommended to immerse yourself in the winter festival atmosphere.
