Director Yeh Chao-fu of the Transportation Bureau noted that the Red Bull Showrun Taichung, the only event of its kind in Asia, will take place on September 28 on Shizheng Road, Xitun District, where the street will be closed for the event. The event coincides with the start of anniversary pre-sales at department stores in the 7th Redevelopment Zone. Anticipating a surge of visitors for both the exhibition and shopping activities, the city government encourages the public and race fans to use public transportation when traveling to Taichung for the event by offering a special discounted “Taichung go Time-based QR Code Ticket – Race Car Edition,” available from September 25 to 28. Passengers can choose between a 24-hour or 48-hour Taichung go ticket, with a 37% discount on the ticket price! Director Yeh highlighted that the tickets come with a special limited-time discount. The 24-hour race care edition ticket, normally NT$180, is reduced to NT$115, and the 48-hour ticket, originally NT$280, is discounted to NT$185. With these tickets, users can enjoy unlimited rides on buses and the metro in Taichung, along with additional exclusive perks, making it easier to reach the event. Yeh further noted that, in collaboration with the Red Bull Showrun Taichung, the Transportation Bureau has introduced the Taichung go tickets. Once activated, it offers unlimited rides on buses and the metro in Taichung for a specific duration. Starting September 25, the tickets will be valid for all city bus routes, significantly increasing its convenience, allowing for unlimited travel across Taichung Metro and bus network within the time frame. The Transportation Bureau noted that visitors to Taichung can explore the unique charm of the city's bike paths in an eco-friendly and LOHAS way. Anyone purchasing a “Taichung go Time-based QR Code Ticket” is eligible for a 20% discount on bike rentals at designated stores along the Houfeng Bikeway, Dongfeng Bikeway, and Tanya Shen Green Bikeway, valid until August 31, 2025. “For the first time ever in Taiwan, Formula 1 race car will zoom through the street.
