The Taichung Green Museumbrary is situated in the northern part of the Taichung Central Park within the Shuinan Trade and Economic Park, close to Zhongke and Liming roads. The Green Museumbrary is designed by Tokyo-based architectural firm SANAA, founded by Sejima Kazuyo and Nishizawa Ryue, in collaboration with Ricky Liu & Associates Architects+Planners from Taiwan. It is a cultural institution complex housing the Taichung Art Museum and the Taichung Public Library. The construction project of the main building broke ground in 2019, and the construction and renovation of the main building is still in progress. The main building is expected to be completed and inaugurated by the end of 2025.
