Do I need to complete household registration for my sole owner-occupied residential house (or up to three houses)? Is household registration limited to the house owner only, or can someone else do it?

In accordance with the House Tax Act, for a residential house intended for self-use, the house-owner, his/her spouse or immediate family members shall complete household registration in the house, and it shall not be rented out or used for business. Therefore, whether one owns one or up to three houses, the household registration must be completed at the property by the owner, his/her spouse, or an immediate family member. Other individuals, such as siblings (who are collateral relatives), are not eligible for household registration.
